This application (“The Crossbar”) is operated by PERTH THUNDER I.H.C PTY. LTD. (ABN 48 149 741 015), at crossbar.perththunderhockey.com.au. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Perth Thunder I.H.C Pty. Ltd.

What personal information we collect

We collect the following personal information:

  • Patrons (guests and account holders): your full name, provided when you sign up or request a guest QR pass.
  • Account holders: your email address, and optionally your mobile number, when you create an account.
  • Staff and administrators: email address, name, mobile number (optional), and assigned role.

We do not collect sensitive information such as health data, racial or ethnic origin, or financial details.

How we use your information

  • Issue and verify QR entry passes for The Crossbar.
  • Manage staff and administrator access.
  • Communicate with you about your account (e.g. password resets).
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the service.

QR codes

Your QR code contains an opaque token only — no personal information is encoded in the QR code itself. Your personal details are stored securely in our database, not in the code you present at entry.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Supabase— database hosting and authentication.
  • Sentry— error monitoring. When an error occurs, Sentry may receive your email address and IP address to help us diagnose and fix the issue.
  • Vercel— application hosting and web analytics. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as page views and device type.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies strictly for authentication (keeping you signed in) and basic web analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Data retention

Your personal information is retained for as long as your account exists or as long as we need it to provide the service. Guest entry records are retained for operational and record-keeping purposes.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988 Cth), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached your privacy.
